Stars on a Mission – Elwood Community Market, 3rd November.   Great Gifts for the Festive Season

Star of the Sea College are having a stall at the Elwood Community Market on Saturday November 3rd. (Elwood Primary school 9am-1pm)  This is part of a VCAL project which aims to create small business’ that will raise money for BASP. VCAL stands for Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning and gives students practical work-related experience, as well as literacy and numeracy skills and the opportunity to build personal skills. So, if you find it difficult to find presents for people of all ages, including you four-legged friends, the VCAL girls can help.The different range of gifts that will be for sale at the market include: Silver stud earrings,Body scrubs, Terrariums, Doggy treats, Balinese jewellery, Environmentally friendly straws, Decorated pot plants, Emergency kits for girls, Cookie mix in a jar. For more information about our products – go to starsonamission.com.au  All gifts purchased will receive a free gift card. All the proceeds will go to the Brigidine Asylum Seekers Project (BASP) which is an organisation that helps people who are seeking asylum in Victoria. BASP exists to try and help all the people from other countries who are coming by boat to Australia to seek asylum.
