UN reports claims that Australia paid people smugglers to turn the boats around

65 asylum seekers have reported to the UN that Australian officials paid people smugglers to turn around.

The report states that Australian officials intercepted their boat at sea, brought them aboard Australian vessels for four days, then put them onto new boats crewed by the same people smugglers, who had been paid to go back to Indonesia.
